About Starry Night Coaching:
The painting Starry Night is an image with texture and depth. A representation of passion and light. The radiance of Starry Night is what I want for my clients: to feel passionately alive.
In my mid twenties I found my passion, psychology. The intricacies of the human mind fascinated me more than anything else. I went back to school and took several psychology courses. Then I came across this new field: Life Coaching. It was exactly what I wanted. My calling is to work with people who live in this resource heaven of the western world but are still somehow bogged down and wanting. I want these people to flourish: to get as much enjoyment as possible from what they have and to use what they have to achieve much much more.
In addition to western psychology, I have also studied eastern philosophy. I've studied Tibetan, Shambhala Buddhism, with an emphasis on the work of Pema Chodron. I've also been a participant in an intimate zen Big Mind retreat, having the honor to learn from Genpo Roshi himself. Most recently I've been studying with yogini Sofia Diaz.
Clients:
I have one client who is a mother of a young child. When I first spoke with her she wanted to follow through on her college training as a singer, but couldn't find the time. As we've worked together, she started singing for her own enjoyment. She is now singing a lead role in a musical!
Another client has in her own words; stopped being a hypervigilant disaster finder. Her world has opened up, and she has a new found appreciation for how great her life is, as well as the capacity to enjoy it.
A third client uses the time to study the intricacies of his work and relationships, and is in a constant process of learning, growing, and better managing his relationships both at home and on the job.
Every client, and client relationship, is unique. All clients work with me to bring themselves more fulfillment, in whatever form that might take for them as individuals.
